How it works

Featuring BitPopArt, a bitcoin artist on the nostr

  1. A vertical feed of short videos from public Nostr relays. Follow the creators you like and block the ones you would rather skip. It starts the moment the app opens.

  2. Turn on Support and a few sats flow to whoever you are watching, at a rate you set. Double-tap to tip. Real bitcoin, sent as a public zap from a wallet only you control.

  3. Tap + to record or pick a clip. It publishes under your own key, so it shows up in every Nostr app that plays video.

Request a bit

Ask for a video you want to see, from one creator, the creators you follow, or anyone, and put a few sats in the pot. Others can add to it. Ask for a collab and every zap splits between the creators who make it. Pledges are paid when a LilBit answers the request.

For creators

Post an offer

Name something you will make, like a dedication in your next LilBit, and set a minimum. Viewers pledge at or above it, you pick one to answer with a LilBit, and only that viewer pays, straight to your wallet.

Common questions

Is it free?

Yes. Watching is free and needs no account. Giving sats is optional, and you set the rate.

Do I need bitcoin to use it?

No. Watch and make videos without any. If you want to give, top up the in-app wallet with a Lightning payment from any wallet or exchange.

Where do the sats go?

Straight to the creator's Lightning address, as a zap they and everyone on Nostr can see. Payments travel from your wallet to theirs over the Lightning Network.

What's Nostr?

An open protocol for social apps. Your identity is a key pair you hold, posts are signed messages on public relays, and any app can read them. Anyone can run a relay or build an app on it.

Can I get paid for my videos?

Yes. Add a Lightning address to your profile and viewers' support sats arrive there, in LilBit or any other Nostr app that shows zaps.

How do pledges get paid?

When a LilBit answers a request, each person who pledged pays their pledge from their own wallet, straight to the creator. Every profile shows how often that person keeps their pledges.
